Boston College scored big when it landed former three-star linebacker Trevin Wallace as the Eagles took a shot on a player who was injured in his junior season and then didn’t have much film from the offseason because of the coronavirus pandemic.
But as word got out on just how talented the Jesup (Ga.) Wayne County prospect was more SEC teams got involved and Boston College’s grip started to slip on his commitment. In recent days, Wallace backed off the ACC pledge and reopened his recruitment.
Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee are five SEC programs in the mix for Wallace, who said he will still consider Boston College, but it now looks like staying closer to home will be in the cards.
Boston College landed Wallace, and that was big. But the big-time linebacker is back on the board and could be headed to the SEC.
